Bosses could be forced to reveal ethnicity pay gap

Employers could soon be forced to reveal their ethnicity pay gaps, under plans announced by Theresa May today. Mirroring the gender pay gap audit launched last year, the proposals are expected to reveal how much employees from ethnic minorities are paid compared with their white counterparts. Described as workplace “social justice”, Mrs May said the consultation is intended to help create a “fairer and more diverse workforce”.
